This activity provides the opportunity for Fellows to confidentially and accurately assess, reflect on and evaluate their patients’ experiences and expectations. Using an online assessment tool, patients give feedback by answering a set of practice review questions; they also have the opportunity to provide positive or constructive written comments.

Please note: This activity is only available to RANZCOG Fellows. All payments are Australian Dollars. Fellows who register for this activity will be contacted by CPD staff via email within 7-10 working days with further information and instructions.

The RANZCOG Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire (PSQ) focuses on:

  • - Patient demographics;
  • - Patients’ perceptions of the practice’s location, accessibility, waiting area, staff and appointment wait time;
  • - The doctor-patient relationship, including the doctor’s communication and people skills, and the provision of information regarding the patient’s condition and treatment plan by the practitioner; and
  • - Patients’ overall satisfaction with the quality of the doctor and consultation.

 

This activity is divided into two stages with each stage requiring a minimum of 100 electronic PSQs to be completed. Fellows may claim 4 PAR points for full completion of Stage One, plus an additional 6 PAR points for full completion of Stage Two. 

Stage One:

 - Following consultations, provide consecutive patients with the electronic link to the online PSQ until you have reached 100 completed questionnaires.
- The results will be sent to you by the College in the form of a Stage One Report for you to review.
- Complete the Stage One Worksheet and submit this to the College within six months of receiving your Stage One Report.
 

 After a minimum interval of four months, Stage Two may be commenced.
 

Stage Two:

  • - Following consultations, provide consecutive patients with the electronic link to the online PSQ until you have reached 100 completed questionnaires.
  • - The results will be sent to you by the College in the form of a Stage Two Report for you to review.
  • - Complete the Stage Two Worksheet and submit this to the College within six months of receiving your Stage Two Report.
